To date the U.S. Army has acquired in excess of 250 Vehicle Mounted Mine Detection (VMMD) Systems and is in the process of purchasing additional systems to support Coalition Forces Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now the USMC and the Canadian National Department of Defence have also purchased these systems to support their forces deployed in Afghanistan.
